One Day At A Time!
Matthew 6:34 - Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
The Lord's Prayer asks Him to give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11
Why is this so important to remember? Because tomorrow is not promised to us, and today has its own issues. But each day is a present and a gift from God to start over, or to continue what you started yesterday and hopefully get it right today.
When we wake up, we should first thank the Lord for allowing us to see the day. Thank Him for his goodness and mercy, which is new every morning.
Then, we should pray for His provision, His protection, His peace, His joy, and His strength to make it through the day.
We should ask how we can serve Him better and how we can bless someone else during the day, fostering a sense of purpose and love in our daily actions!
